Matt has interviewed over 20 directors onstage over 3 years as founder of director's community NoDirectionHome, including Walter Murch, Oscar-winning editor of Apocalypse Now and The Godfather trilogy at the Curzon Soho after a 35mm screening of The Conversation. Other interviewees include Marc Munden (Utopia, National Treasure, Electric Dreams), Corin Hardy (The Hallow, The Nun) Richard Holmes (Creative England, head of prod), Robin Hill (Kill List, Sightseers, Poldark) and John Maclean (Slow West).

Matt has hosted panels at SXSW & Raindance, and given masterclasses about VOD, split rights distribution, presenting projects and crowdfunding to audiences at SheffDoc, SPAA Melbourne, Raindance, EastEndFF, Directors UK, Creative England, Film London & LOCO.
He has introduced and hosted Q&A's for many premieres such as Carol Morely’s Dreams of a Life at SXSW (North American premiere, 2010), and Dan Sickle's Dina (Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner) at the ICA (2017).
During the theatrical release of American The Bill Hicks Story, he participated in over 50 Q&A’s such as at the Curzon Soho premiere, several to audiences of 600 plus, and at SXSW two to over 1000 at the sold-out Paramount Theatre in Austin.
