Mike Leigh is new patron of NDH community

Mike Leigh is new patron of NDH community

Thrilled to announce that Mike Leigh has agreed to be the new patron of NoDirectionHome (he joins Marc Munden, our first patron)

In an amazing session on Tues 4th Feb, in a palpable atmosphere of excitement, Mike was insightful, funny, cutting, extremely passionate and committed, with great insights into the specifics of his unique process and the fascinating stories about the making of films like Naked, Secrets & Lies, Vera Drake, Happy-Go-Lucky, Mr. Turner & more.

"It's hard, we're all in the same boat'"Every film, song, piece of art is a synthesis of improvisation and order" , and finally "Never compromise"  were just some of the pearls - I hope everyone in the room felt empowered and rejuvenated in their filmmaking endeavours.

Thanks to Mike again for his time, and for being part of the NDH community. To say we are thrilled is understating it slightly.
